Decoding The Menu | Video Synopsis
Inspired by Dan Jurafsky’s novel, a lingustics professor at Stanford, The Language of Food (http://books.wwnorton.com/books/The-Language-of-Food/), exploring the invisible patterns in language, the collected menus havebeen carefully examined. Based on commonly used descriptions, and name of dishes, a list has been curated, from the collection of menus from the first project, in addition to a collection of digital menus, and Dan Jurafsky’s reseach. This project is a video synopsis, that can be projected for educational purposes in museums, such as MOFAD (Museum of Food and Drink).
