Reimagined Museums | poster, web design
With the emerging viewpoints in contemporary art and the re-shaping notions for displaying artwork within a context, the definition of museums are undergoing a transition. However many artists have been facing the challenge of practicing and sharing art within strict, confined parameters, due to standardized platforms that are a product of the modernization movement. I have visited the studios of local artists in New York and explored the alternate ways for displaying, exchanging and spreading artwork, while examining the processes and the use of craftsmanship, rather than solely the final products. The tools that have been used by the artists have been photographed as tabletop displays and then transformed into posters. The posters, a single serving website and the research gathered for the project have been unified in an interactive box website.
