Sharing Plates | card set
New York is a melting pot for the food industry, and people coming from various backgrounds experience this fusion of cultures, while getting to learn about the American culture. There is a great variety for dishes presented at restaurants in NYC, however more to explore when it comes to how different cultures prepare their food. With the recipes that are created and shared, the traditions that come from families, the ingredients used in the dishes and with how the food is prepared, each plate has a story to tell. This box of cards has been created for answering three questions, regarding this discussion. The responses have been illustrated by art and design students from New York. The viewer gets to learn about different backgrounds of food culture coming from the perspective of creative minds.
